Just wanted to share our experience with Tarox brakes on the weekend. Everything holds up perfectly the brakes perform absolutely great not single issue . Through the weekend we done 4 sessions- 28 laps per day 1 lap it’s 4 miles that’s bring us to 56 laps = 224 miles on the track for the whole weekend.
On this track we have 3 long straight lines where our Mini GP3 reaching 135 - 140 mph usually the braking zones are marked from 500 - 100 feet before turning our braking marker it’s between 300 - 200 feet that’s really good according to the speed we are able to carry on the track.
We have only 1 challenge before turn 5 because it’s long straight going down the hill with left tight turn with optimal speed through the turn it’s 45 - 50 mph that’s meaning with 135 mph going downhill it’s really challenging for the brakes to slowdown the car. After couple times experience over braking and not braking enough We actually find out with taping the brakes lightly at 400 marker and starting braking at 250 marker really effective and safe seems like the brakes benefit from gentle braking to lift and back to hard braking to slow release for this specific turn.
When mechanic performed inspection after the event we are still 70% brake pads left that’s awesome.
